Stop and think for just a second about how much movies and rentals have evolved even in the last 20 years. 20 years ago, we were all still watching movies in the theater, and then waiting months for that movie to hit the video store; on VHS of course. DVD’s may have existed, but nobody had DVD players in their homes. Some of those companies have even had to evolve with the growing market, and have either changed names, or been acquired by another company. For instance, take Vongo online movie rental. This was a company that was owned by Starz entertainment and provided subscribers with a great video on demand service. Subscribers were able to download their video rentals, and used adobe/ macromedia flash software to do so. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, they stopped taking subscribers in August of 2008, and were totally discontinued in September of 2008. If you still prefer to handle actual DVD’s, they can easily be sent to you in the mail, and all you have to do is return it when you are done with it. Late fees are now a thing of the past!
